Get it roughly right by hand first — auto-refine then fine-tunes position, rotation and size until the two coins differ least. Works only for genuine same-die pairs.

The composite is a photographic draft — trace it in Coin Tracer for a publication-style die reconstruction, checking each stroke against the individual specimens.
