
Hiranyakas, Potin, 2.31g, “Horse” type, Obv: Horse standing facing right, Shrivatsa above and ball in front; traces of Brahmi legend along the margin, Rev: six-arched hill with crescent, tree to right partly visible (Unpublished in major sources). Very fine, extremely rare. The Hiranyakas were a post-Satavahana dynasty of the Rayalseema region, known chiefly from their lead coins. However much like the Satavahanas they also issued coins in potin which are extremely rare.
