Post Gupta Sindh, Hunnic issues, Shri Jagaprakasha, Debased Gold Dinar, 6.98g, Obv: Sasanian-style bust, wearing horned crown and diadem ribbons, facing right, Brahmi legend “Shri Jaga Pra(kasha)” to right, Rev: Fire altar in centre, topped by a Linga emanating fire with attendants on either side (Not listed in major publications). Very fine, exceedingly rare. It is not known who exactly ‘Jagaprakasha’ was but he is evidently a Huna ruler with a Prakasha-ending name. The Hunas made forays down the Indus in the reign of Mihirakula so it is probable Jagaprakasha was a viceroy appointed by him in
