Satavahanas, Gautamiputra Kumbha Satakarni, Silver Drachma, 2.14g, “Portrait” type, Obv: Bust with curly long hair & prominent nose and thick lips, wearing a high head ornament, Brahmi legend “Rano Gotamiputasa Siri Kubha Satakanisa” around Rev: Four orb Ujjayini symbol, six-arched hill with a crescent, Sun and river flowing below, Southern Brahmi - Tamil-Telugu / Prakrit legends around (Piper# 2764). Cleaned, very fine+, exceedingly rare. Silver Portrait coins of Kumbha Satakarni are exceedingly rare and only handful specimens known.
