THE DUKE OF CONNAUGHT M.W.G.M. 1917” dated 1717-1917 below. Awarded by the to commemorate the bicentenary of his Dukedom, engraved by Spencer & Co. Extremely fine. Connaught Place of New Delhi is named after this gentleman Prince Arthur, 1st Duke of Connaught (1850–1942), who laid the foundation of the Sansad Bhavan (old).
