Defeat of Tipu Sutan Seringapatan Medal, Silver, 43.45g, Obv: The British Lion trampling the Indian Tiger called Tipu, Rev: Battle scene of the British with the army of Tipu Sultan, AH 1213, AD 4 May 1799. Royal Mint, London, the Medals were awarded to the officers of the British Indian Army which fought in the battle of Seringapatan against Tipu Sultan. Test marks on edge otherwise very fine+, very rare.
