Vijaya Manikya, Silver Tanka, 10.61g, SE1482, Obv: Composite figure of Ardhanarishvara composed of half of ten handed Goddess Durga seated on her Lion and half Lord Shiva seated on Nandi, Rev: Bangla legend “Lakshya Snayi/Sri Sri Tripura Ma/ hesh/Vijaya Mani/kya Deva Sri Lakshmi/Rani Devyah” in five lines (R&B# 118). Very fine, extremely rare. This type was struck to commemorate the ritual bath of the royal couple in the river Lakhiya or Lakshya.
