Bundi, Maharao Bahadur Singh, Silver Accession Medal, 26.52g, 1945, Obv: Three-quarter portrait bust of Bahadur Singh, Rev: Coat of arms of Bundi State in center around legend “BAHADUR SINGH MAHARAO RAJA” above; “BUNDI/14 MAY 1945” below. with ribbon and suspender (McClenaghan 97). Very fine+, extremely rare.. Maharao Bahadur Singh was born in 1920, educated at Mayo College, Ajmer and married a daughter of Maharaja Sir Sajjan Singh of Ratlam in 1938. He served in the army as a colonel and was awarded the Military Cross by the for gallantry during the Second World War.
