Ranas of Mewar, Sisodiya Dynasty, Rana Vanavira Simha or Banbir, Copper, 7.64g, Obv: Devnagari legend “Shri Ra(na) Vana(vi)...” followed by VS date 15XX, Rev: Traces of stylized legend “al-Sultan bin al-Sultan” (Similar to G&G# M-273). Very fine, extremely rare. Copper coins of Vanavira, a short lived successor of Rana Sangram Simha (Sanga) are extremely rare. This is a particularly handsome specimen, with clear name and partly visible VS date.
