Bhadravati, modern Bhandakji is situated in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra State. Having very important place in the history of ancient India, many references of this historic city are found in the Puranic, Buddhist & Jain literature. The most interesting among these is the mention of an International Boudh Dhhama Sabha (Buddhist Religious Convention), hosted by the city some 2000 years ago.
