Sarabhapurias of Mahakosala, Mahendraditya (5th-6th centuries AD), Gold, 1.26 g, Repousse, Bracteate coin, Garuda facing front between Shankha and Chakra, Brahmi legend below on obv, uniface. About Extremely Fine, Rare.   The coins issued by Mahendraditya are all broad flan and scyphate with deep striking. Interestingly, for decades these coins were thought to be issued by the Gupta Monarch Kumaragupta I Mahendraditya, who also have the similar title, however, later numismatic research has indicated that these are in fact issues of the Sarabhapurias of Mahakosala.
