Long Service Medal, Silver, Arms on obv, legend, FOR / LONG SERVICE / AND / GOOD CONDUCT on rev. With suspension, ring and ribbon. Awarded to an Indian as Sergt. Instr. G. Burten Shaw, 1st Punjab Vol. Rifle Corps. UNC and Extremely Rare when awarded to an Indian. Originally raised on 1/4/1861 and on the 15th July it absorbed the Punjab Light Horse (vol.) which was raised on 27/3/1867. The Medal must have been awarded between 1861 and 1867
