Athni Mint, Silver, ¼ Rupee, in the name of Alamgir II, Shahjahanabad, Dar ul Khilafat Athani Mint name on rev, Mihr o Mah couplet. Great Rarity. Athni was a mint operated by the Raste family in North Karnataka region. All coins of Athni bear the mint-name as ‘Shahjahanabad Athni’, copying the prototype from Delhi (Shahjahanabad) mint. No fractions of Athni mint are listed in Maheshwari & Wiggins, making this a rare and unlisted coin.
