Punch-marked Coin, Magadha Janapada, 500-450 BC, Silver Vimashatika, weight standard, 4.62g, four Symbol Coin, ABCD pattern. Six-armed symbol, Sun, Bull to L., Lion to L. An extremely important missing link Series '0' coin type, due to its weight linkage (with an earlier heavy weight standard to a later light weight standard coinage). This type belongs to Haryanka dynasty and is roughly contemporary to Buddha (Reference: Rajgor Dilip, Series 10, var. 46, pp.38). Extremely fine, extremely rare.
