Kushan, Kanishka, Gold Dinar, 7.78g, Obv: king standing wearing boots and tunic, with javelin and offering sacrifice at an altar; Bactrian legend ShAONANO ShAO KANEShKI KOShANO around, Rev: nimbate Wesho/Shiva standing offering libations with one hand and holding a dead deer in the other; Bactrian legend OEShO to right and Tamgha to left. (The coin is tooled to remove the upper two hands of Shiva) (Goebl# 37). Very fine, very rare.
