
Ahmed Shah, Silver Rupee, 11.27g, Sahrind (Sirhind) Mint, AH 1177. Cleaned, very fine, scarce. Hans Herrli in a recent article in JONS-215 has given an interesting survey of the coinage of Sirhind mint. The town was sacked and destroyed by the Sikhs in 1764. This coin bears the last known Durrani date before this event
