Gupta, Samudragupta, Gold Dinar, 7.35g, “Standard’ type, Altekar Class I, variety A, Obv: Nimbate king standing, wearing tunic and trousers, holding a standard in one hand and offering sacrifice with the other, Garuda banner in the backdrop, Brahmi legend Samudra below the hand holding the standard and Samara Shata Vi… in the exergue, Rev: Nimbate goddess seated on high-backed throne, holding cornucopia and noose, Brahmi legend Parakramah to right and a Tamgha to left (Altekar II). Very fine, rare.
