Central India, Malwa region, Uninscribed, Copper die-struck coin, 3.39g, Uniface, Maned lion walking to right, Swastika above and a peacock with long plume below on obv. Extremely fine for type, very rare. A very unusual depiction of peacock on an ancient die-struck coin. Peacocks are usually found on Mauryan punch-marked Karshapanas but usually depicted on a hill and not singly.
