Sikandar Shah, Silver Tanka, 10.83g, Mulk Nawalistan Mint (Not listed in G&G). Very fine+, extremely rare. A mint named ‘ChawalistanurfArsahKamru’ has been recorded for this ruler. Coins of the type offered here were recently discovered in a small hoard and they appear to have the mint-name inscribed as ‘Nawalistan’ instead of ‘Chawalistan’. Since this appears to have happened due to the engraver missing a small part of the stroke, the cataloguer believes that the variation is a result of an engraving error.
