Jahangir, Copper Heavy Tanka, 40.32g, “Rawani” type, Kotri Mint, AH 102(2/3). Unpublished, Very fine, extremely rare. Copper Heavy Tanka’s of Emperor Jahangir are extremely rare. A very few Tanka’s known of Agra Bairata & Ajmer Mint. To this new Mint Kotri is added now. The mint of Kotri was located in the copper-rich area of South-Eastern Rajasthan and appears to have functioned sporadically during the reign of Jahangir and Shah Jahan.
