Aurangzeb, Silver Rupee, 11.48g, Adoni Mint (Not listed in KM), RY 30 ?. Little flatness on both sides, fine+, extremely rare. Adoni later known as Imtiazgarh is a town in Kurool distric of Andhra Pradesh. The fort of Adoni was a very strong Military post of Adil Shahi Sultans of Bijapur, having a strong Garrison of 30000 Troops. The fortress was taken by Mughals from the Sidi Masud Adil Shahi Commander of Sultan Sikandar. The Rupee struck with Mint name Adoni is extremely rare as Adoni was renamed Imtiazgarh immediately by Mughals.
