The “Seringapatam” Medal, Copper, 39.53g, 1799, Soho Mint, Obv: The British lion trampling the Indian Tiger called Tipu, Rev: Battle scene of the British with the army of Tipu Sultan, AH 1213, AD 4 May 1799. Extremely fine+, very rare. These Medals were awarded to the officers of the British Indian Army which fought in the battle of Seringapatan against Tipu Sultan.
