Jahangir, Copper, Falus, 13.20g, Nizamshahi standard, Ahmednagar Mint, AH1002, Obv: Persian legend “Jahangir Badshah Zarb Ahmednagar”, Rev: Persian legend Fi Shuhur Sanah 1002. Patinated, extremely fine+, rare. The Nizamshahi kingdom of Ahmednagar was partially conquered by the Mughals towards the end of Akbar’s reign. Copper coins struck to the prevalent local standard and denominational system were sporadically struck under Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjahan.
