Ahmad Shah, Silver Rupee, 11.50g, Sikakul Mint, RY 7?, flower as a mint mark on reverse. Very fine+, very rare. These coins were probably struck by Nizams of Hyderabad on period of uncertainty following the death of Nizam ul-Mulk Asaf Jah I in 1749, silver rupee struck under the authority of Nawabs of Rajahmundry and Srikakulam, in the name of Ahmad Shah Bahadur. Rupees of this mint are generally rare and those in the name of Ahmad Shah Bahadur are much rarer than either Muhammad Shah or Alamgir II.
