Gupta, Samudragupta, Gold Dinar, 7.40g, "Standard / Javelin" type, Obv: Nimbate King standing to left, wearing tunic and dhoti, holding a javelin standard and offering sacrifice at an altar, Garuda standard to left and Brahmi legend "Samarasatavitatavi….", Rev: Goddess seated facing on throne, holding noose in right hand and cornucopia in left, Brahmi legend "Parakramah" partly visible to right and a tamgha in the left field (Altekar Class I, Variety G). Extremely fine, very rare.
