Vijaya Manikya with Queen Saraswati (1532-1564), Silver Tanka, 10.89g, SE 1479, Obv: Lion to right in small circle with Pellet by Lions mouth & Star over head, ''4'' in date not reversed, Rev: ''Pratisindhu Si/m Sri Sri Vijaya/ Manikya Deva La/kshmi Rani Devyau'' in four lines with square, normal border, short ''i'' in ''Sim'' (KM# 66, R&B# 109). Extremely fine, extremely rare. The coins were struck in 1479 Sake with epithet ''Pratisindhu Sim'' = ''right up to the sea'' perhaps indicating a military conquest of tertiary as far as the sea, possible recapture of Chittagaon.
