Taxila, Indigenous series, Uninscribed Copper, 9.67g, Obv: Facing head of Yaksha with Typical conical ears and plump cheeks, with a three arched hill on forehead, Rev: obliterated. Very fine+, extremely rare. Yakshas were worshipped by mercantile communities as protectors of wealth and trade routes. This is by far one of the clearest representations of a Yaksha on Indian coins.
