Tribal Vrishnis of Haryana / Punjab, Jayasamstha, Copper, 1.46g, Obv: Twelve spoked wheel, Rev: Brahmi legend in two lines “Jaya / Samstha” (Handa (read as ‘Jiyasa / Jayasa’) p. 143). Very fine for type, extremely rare. Vrishni coins of this type were first reported by Handa and Swami Omananda Saraswati from sites like Sunet near Ludhiana in Punjab. On the coins published by Handa the legend was not very clear, but here it is clearly read as ‘Jayasamstha’, with an anuswara on the letter Sa.
