Pre Satavahana, Vidarbha, Pauni region, Uninscribed Cast Copper, 5.42g, Obv: Bull walking to right, taurine above, Rev: Plain. Very fine, rare. Coins of this peculiar series from Pauni shows a high iron content in the alloy. Whether this was intentional is not known, but most likely they were made from a locally available source of copper ore rich in iron.
