Portuguese, Goa, Nickel Medal, 12.50g, “Medal to commemorate the exposition of the body of St. Francis Xavier”, Obv: Shows St. Francis Xavier and displays his name and title ‘Apostolos Das Indias’, Rev: ‘RECORDÃO DE GOA 1910’ in Portuguese. Rare St. Xavier was the co-founder of the Society of Jesus. This exposition was held to mark the 4th centenary of conquest of Goa by Afonso de Albuquerque on November 25, 1910, Obv: which translates to ‘Remembrance of Goa 1910’.
