Mahasenapatis in Eastern Deccan as Kshaharata Feudatories, Lead, 5.29g, Obv: Swastika with traces of Brahmi legend around, Rev: Kshaharata dynastic emblem, thunderbolt and arrow. Very fine for type very rare. Feudatory families owing allegiance to the Satavahanas shifted sides to the Kshaharatas during prolonged conflict between the two houses. The Mahasenapatis were one of them. They were known to belong to ‘lesser branch of the Sangama family’.
