Ghaznavid's, Mas’ud, Silver Dirham, 3.27g, “Hindu Shahi” style, Obv: Bull Seated left, very clear Arabic legend “ithni” (regnal year two?) on the bull’s jhula, Sarada legend “Sri Samantadeva” above, Rev: Mounted horseman right, Arabic legend “Mas’ud” and “Mahu” above right, Sarada ‘Bhi’ left (R, Tye-89.1, J.Deyyel-72). Very fine, very rare. A transition issue, likely produced in the former Hindu Shahi mint, by the Ghaznavid successor of Amir Mahmud Ghaznavid.
