George III, Settlement of the British at Bombay, Copper Medal, 39.37g, 1804, Obv: Neptune reclining on globe, cradling cornucopia and holding the Union Jack, the British lion at his feet with the date 1662 below, Rev: Neptune seated on globe, holding trident and Victory in left hand, “The French Fleet Repulsed by the East India Company 1804” written around, the medal was struck in 1820 (Pudd# 804.1, Eimer 952). Extremely fine, rare.
