Nolambas of Nolambavadi, Anonymous, Gold Fanam, 0.34g, Obv: Caparisoned Nandi seated couchant facing left, Sun and Crescent above, Rev: Elephant goad and Conch side by side, flanked by Sun and crescent above. Very fine, very rare. Nandi was the lanchhana (dynastic emblem) of the Nolambas, who thrived as feudatories to the Rashtrakutas in 9th and 10th century CE.
