Kumaras of Karhad, Isamula, Lead, 9.72g, struck at Junnar in the characteristic Lion type, Obv: Maned Lion standing facing left, in front of a plough standard in railing, strung bow and arrow above its back, traces of Brahmi legend “…isamulanandasa” to right, Rev: Composite symbol of three arched hill with crescent and a tree in railing on a platform, and a wavy line below. Extremely fine, extremely rare. This type of Isamula’s coins refers to him as ‘Isamulananda’, adding the ‘-Ananda’ suffix to his name. The curious variation is also seen on some rare coins in the Kolhapur ‘bow and arrow’ ty
