Western Kshatrapas, Kshaharata house, Nahapana as Kshatrapa (33-78AD), Junnar region, Lead

Western Kshatrapas, Kshaharata house, Nahapana as Kshatrapa (33-78AD), Junnar region, Lead, 9.04g, “Lion” type, Obv: Lion standing in front of a plough-headed standard in railing above triangle-headed standard, three-arched hill below the belly and wavy line with dots below, Rev: Thunderbolt and long arrow within dotted circle (Fishman# 8.2). Very fine+, extremely rare. The issues of Nahapana as a Kshatrapa from Junnar are conspicuous by the absence of ‘bow-and-arrow’ symbol on the reverse, and are much rarer than the ‘Mahakshatrapa’ issues which incorporate this symbol.
