Pre Satavahana Karnataka, a hitherto unknown king, “Ananda” chieftains, Lead, 7.25g, “Hill” type, Obv: Six arched hill surmounted by an ornamental umbrella, Brahmi legend “Rano Sthi(?)…” around, Rev: Tree in an ornamented railing, Swastika to right (Not listed in any publications). Countermarked by a Nandipada symbol on obverse. Extremely fine for type, extremely rare.
