Satavahanas, Gotamiputa Siri Satakani, counterstruck on a drachm of Kshaharata Kshatrapa Nahapana, Silver Drachma, 2.17g, Obv: Traces of Nahapana’s bust and traces of crude Greco-Roman legend around, overstruck by ‘three arched hill with crescent symbol’ and Brahmi letters “Rano Gota…” to right, Rev: Ujjain symbol, or dynastic emblem of the Satavahanas, traces of under type (Brahmi and Kharoshthi legends and thunderbolt-arrow symbol) visible underneath. Very fine, rare.
