Guptas, Chandra Gupta II, Gold Dinar, 7.88g, “Lion-Slayer” type, Obv: Nimbate king, standing with one leg flexed, holding strung bow and striking arrow at a lion to left, while trampling on it, Rev: Goddess seating in Vamardhaparyanka pose on lion with one leg folded mid-knee, holding lotus in one hand and a noose in the other; Brahmi legend “Simhavikramah” right and a Tamgha in left field (S Kumar Class III, var. B3). About extremely fine, extremely rare.
