Damasena, son of Rudrasimha I as Kshatrapa, Silver Drachma, 2.05g, SE144, Obv: Bust of the king, Brahmi numerals behind the bust, corrupt Greek legend around, Rev: Three-arched hill with a crescent on top, Sun in the right field and a crescent to left. Brahmi legend starting 1 O'clock “Rajno MahaKshatrapasa Rudrasihasa Putrasa Rajno Kshatrapas Damasenasa” (Fishman# 18.1.144). Very fine+, extremely rare. Damasena ruled from Saka year 144-160 SE (222-238 CE). The lesser known fact is that he ruled as Kshatrapa in the Saka year 144. His coins with Kshatrapa title are extremely rare.
