Post Mauryan North India, Tribal Republic, Vemaka Shivaghosha, Copper, 2.00g, Obv: Bull standing left with bold swastika above, traces of Kharoshthi legend “Rana Vemakisa Sivaghoshasa” around, Rev: Elephant standing right (Ref: D. Handa, Tribal Coins of Ancient India, pl. XXXIV, no. 4; PAIC 1589). About very fine, extremely rare. Copper coins of the Vemaki Janapada are extremely rare, very few known so far. Prof. Devendra Handa recorded only 3 Copper specimens.
