Amara Manikya with Queen Amravati, Silver Tanka, 10.57g, SE1502, Obv: Lion to left, date below, circular arc at base, Outer border of double arches, Rev: Bengali Legend “Digbijayi Sri Sri/Yutamara Mani/kya Deva Sri Ama/ravati Devyau” in 4 lines within normal square (R&B# 166). Very fine+, very rare. This type issued in Sk 1502 (AD 1580) in includes the epithet Digvijayi - "Conqueror of the world". This probably refers to some successful military campaign as for early Hindu rulers a digvijaya was a ceremonial tour of conquest around neighbouring kingdoms.
