Victoria, South Africa Silver Medal, 1879 Bar, Awarded to “618. SADR. G. JOHNSON, 1ST. DN. GDS.”, Obv: Vitoria facing left, Rev: Crouching Lion on a plinth in front of a protea bush with a single flower, legend “SOUTH AFRICA” around, the top perimeter and has a military trophy consisting of a Zulu ox-hide shield and four crossed assegais in the exergue. Bar along with ribbon. Scarce Regiment. Very fine, very rare.
