Jahangir, Silver Rupee, 11.40g, “Nur ud din” type, Rohtas Mint, RY 20, Ilahi Month Shareware (KM# 145.14). Very fine+, exceedingly rare. The origin of the Rohtas found in Ancient texts. The Fort was passed to many Dynasties during the ages. Mughals won the Fort from Sher Shah Suri. During the Emperor Akbar reign Raja Man Singh made Rohtas as his head quarter to rule as Governor of Bengal and Bihar. Very historical important place and historically important coin.
