Ranadheera Kanthirava Narasa Raja, Gold 1/2 Pratapa- Hon, 1.71g, Obv: Lord Narasimha seated facing with Lakshmi on his left lap, Rev: Nandinagari legend “Shri Kanthi / Rava Nara / sa Raya” partially visible (Not listed in Mitchiner). Extremely fine, extremely rare. As opposed to very common fanams, the larger gold coins of Kanthirava Narasa are exceedingly rare. Very few have appeared in auctions and the half unit or Pratapa is virtually unknown.
