Ancient, Post Mauryan Central/Western India, Ujjain, Copper, 3.03g, Obv: Goddess with crested hai standing above Horse on right, six arched hill above railed Makaradhvja on left, river below, Rev: Ujjain symbol, Swastika in each orb (Pieper# 679). Patinated, extremely fine, very rare. Makaradhvja the emblem of Pradyumna one of the deified heroes of the Vrsni clan and son of Vasudeva- Krsnasupports a Vaisnavite context for this Goddess.
