Gurjara Prathiharas, Bhoja I, Silver Dramma, 4.14g, Obv: King standing to right assuming the face of a boar representing the Adivaraha (incarnation of Lord Vishnu), His left leg on a Lion to right, A circular orb (Earth?) in front, Rev: Legend in Devnagari reading in two lines as “Shrimada(di)/Varaha”, Indo-Sassanian fire altar below, Decorations around, It has been suggested that the Lion below the foot of Adivaraha represents the Rashtrakutas who were enemies of the Pratiharas. Extremely fine.
