Wahhabi Sharifate of Mecca (SAUDI ARABIA), Ghalib ibn Musa'id, Copper 1 Mahmudi – Ghalib, 19.74g, 1223, Obv: Mint name Mecca in Arabic and bird, dot in between, Rev: Date repeated twice and Fish between dates (KM# B3). Very fine, rare. According to Stephen Album: "Struck circa AH1223-1230 possibly by Muslim manufacturers from India that came to Arabia to prepare these coins as they are rather heavy and resemble contemporary copper Paisas of western India."
