
Hoysalas Feudatories, early 14th century CE, Anonymous, Gold Gadyana, 3.52g, Obv: Lion with paw raised facing right, lamp stand behind and small sun and crescent above, Rev: Ornate Kannada letter “Ku”, made of a dotted crescent and a lotus within a circle at its centre. About uncirculated, exceedingly rare. The coin provenance is Anantapur district which was earlier a Nolamba domain. Later the region came under the direct rule of Kalyani Chalukyas. After the decline of the Chalukyas, several feudatories took control of the region before the Hoysalas subjugated them.
