Sasanian Empire, Hormazd II, Silver Drachm, 2.90g, No Mint, Obv: Bearded bust of Hormazd II right, wearing merlon crown surmounted by forepart of eagle and globe decorated with four standing figures, diadem ties behind globe, diadem ties behind crown and pointing up, all in single dotted border, Pahlavi legend around, Rev: Fire altar with two attendants dressed in kingly garb, facing inward, short staff in both hands, bust of Ahura Mazda facing in flames above altar, all in single dotted border (Göbl 83). Very fine, rare.
